Deleting outpost and your resources used?

Hi, I was wondering if someone has deleted his outpost and if it would give back the resources you used to build it. Would it only gives it back if you have enough storage on the ship and your inventory almost cleared up so you have space t get it back?

From my experience, you seem to get about half of your resources refunded (but it's honestly hard to say because sometimes it put the resources into my inventory or into my ships', making it difficult to track).
